We contacted you yesterday with a question about interfacing a Garmin GPS175 to EX500 via ARINC429.

This morning, we did a test setup with a GNX375 GPS/XPDR and an EX5000 and got the interface to work.

When interfacing a Garmin GPS175, GNC355 or GNX375 to a EX5000 / EX500:

 - set the Garmin GPS A429 TX to: GAMA Format 3 - Low speed

 - set the EX500 / 5000 GPS input to: Arinc429.

Ownship and active flight plan will appear on the EX500/EX5000 map display.
